Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
Welcome to Meade County High School!
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our students, our staff, and our entire Greenwave community. A new school year brings a fresh start—a chance to set new goals, ask new questions, build new relationships, and discover new possibilities.
At Meade County High School, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and find success. Our responsibility is not simply to prepare students for their next class or their next year, but to help them discover their strengths, develop their confidence, and prepare for whatever comes next.
Opportunity is at the heart of what we do. Whether a student’s passion is academics, athletics, the arts, career and technical education, clubs and organizations, community service, or something they have yet to discover, we want every student to find a place where they belong and an opportunity where they can thrive.
We also believe in the power of curiosity. Great learning begins with a question. We want our students to be willing to ask questions, challenge ideas, explore possibilities, and think deeply about the world around them. Curiosity encourages students to become active participants in their education rather than simply recipients of information.
Our teachers and staff have spent the summer preparing classrooms, planning lessons, strengthening programs, and working to create an experience that challenges and supports every student. Their commitment to our students is one of the greatest strengths of Meade County High School, and I am grateful for the passion and professionalism they bring to their work each day.
We are equally fortunate to have a community that believes in our students. The support of our families, community organizations, businesses, alumni, and other partners plays an important role in the success of our school. Education is a team effort, and the strongest schools are built when students, families, educators, and communities work together toward a common purpose.
As we begin this year, I encourage our students to take advantage of the opportunities in front of them. Try something new. Join a club. Attend a game. Take a challenging class. Meet someone new. Ask a question. Make a mistake and learn from it. Find something that matters to you and pursue it with purpose.
For our parents and guardians, thank you for entrusting us with your children. We recognize the responsibility that comes with that trust, and we are committed to providing an environment where students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to become the very best versions of themselves.
My administrative team and I are excited to welcome everyone back to Meade County High School. We look forward to seeing our students in the classrooms, on the fields and courts, in our activities and organizations, and throughout our school and community.
Let’s make 2026–2027 a year defined by opportunity, curiosity, growth, and Greenwave pride.
Welcome back, Greenwave! I am excited about what we will accomplish together.
With warmest regards,
Garrett Frank
