Meade County Schools is proud to announce that Jessica Youart, Special Education Teacher at Meade County High School, has been selected as the 2025 Kentucky Special Education Teacher of the Year. The award was presented earlier today at the annual statewide special education conference, recognizing educators who make a significant and lasting impact on the lives of students across the Commonwealth.
Jessica is known throughout the high school for her steady leadership, her thoughtful approach to meeting student needs, and her belief that every child deserves to be seen and supported. Colleagues describe her classroom as a place where students feel valued and encouraged to grow. Families and students often share that Jessica is someone who listens, understands, and finds solutions that help students succeed in meaningful ways.
Director of Special Education Carole Brown shared, “Jessica Youart represents what is best about our district. Her work with students is rooted in compassion and purpose. She finds ways to lift each child and reminds us why this work matters. This recognition reflects the positive difference she makes every day.”
